We’re proud to announce that our partner, Leonore Bruining, will be joining a distinguished panel at the European Class Actions Forum 2025, taking place in Amsterdam on 11–12 June.

The panel — Managing Client Liability and Exposure in the European Union — brings together legal experts from across Europe to discuss key developments in the field of collective redress. Topics will include:

  • Strategic forum selection across EU jurisdictions;
  • The temporal scope of the Dutch WAMCA regime;
  • Key lessons from early class action cases.

Leonore will be speaking alongside: Maximilian Bülau (Hengeler Mueller)Ozan Akyurek (Jones Day), Cristina Ayo (Uría Menéndez)Christine Vreede (Florent).

As collective actions become an increasingly important part of the European legal landscape, we’re pleased to contribute to this forward-looking conversation.

Later that day, at 16:00, she will also serve as moderator for the session “Addressing Litigation Funding and Insurance Prospects for European Class Action Cases,” covering:

  • Experience of funding and insuring cases in the past year
  • Upcoming opportunities for litigation funding
  • Strategies for funding litigation in states yet to fully implement a regime

Curious about what WAMCA or EU collective proceedings could mean for your business? Feel free to reach out to Leonore Bruining for more information or tailored advice.
