Floor Eikelboom joined Wijn & Stael as partner in November 2025. His practice focuses on counseling and representing clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including shareholder conflicts, directors' and officers' liability and professional liability disputes. Floor also has extensive experience in corporate and commercial disputes, post-M&A litigation, and matters involving corporate governance and inquiry proceedings.

In addition to his sense of humor, Floor is also known for his analytical rigor, creativity, and tenacity. He takes the time to fully understand the key factors involved in a dispute, thereby providing tailored solutions and pursuing unconventional approaches when they serve his clients' interests. “Disputes are often complex puzzles, and I enjoy figuring out how every piece fits together. When challenges arise, I don't give up. Instead, I look for new ways to turn the situation around and achieve a successful outcome."

Attorney with an Academic Mindset 
Floor earned his PhD from the University of Groningen, where he focused his dissertation on interim measures in inquiry proceedings. As an attorney, he has been involved in a number of cases that have led to landmark rulings. In addition to his practice, he serves as a lecturer at the Grotius Academy.

  • Represented a shareholder and former director in dispute resolution and liability proceedings following an inquiry proceeding.
  • Acted for several directors and shareholders in a joint venture dispute, where fractured relations led to an eventual separation achieved through inquiry proceedings and mediation.
  • Advised a shareholder during a valuation and buyout process, where an expert determined the buyout price pursuant to a shareholder agreement. 
  • Assisted in two binding advice proceedings that had reached an impasse, helping to bring both matters to successful completion.
  • Represented an entrepreneur in a professional negligence claim against a tax advisor who had failed to file a timely objection.
  • Acted for a corporation facing insolvency due to a shareholder dispute blocking additional financing, advising on restructuring options and negotiating a settlement agreement to enable a business restart.
