Wouter Fonville joined Wijn & Stael in 2019 and focuses his practice on corporate litigation. He represents companies, (semi)-public organizations, executive and supervisory directors, shareholders and other stakeholders.

Keen Interest in Social Issues
Wouter is an ambitious attorney with a keen interest in social issues. He has a systematic approach to work that lends itself to finding creative solutions to legal issues. He has the ability to see the bigger picture in any dispute, while keeping an eye on the social position of his client. “I became an attorney because I have a passion for solving complex disputes and helping businesses achieve their legal goals.”

Academic Background and Experience
Prior to joining Wijn & Stael, Wouter gained experience at small and large law firms and studied at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada and at the University of Zagreb. He concluded his studies with a comparative law study on pledge prohibitions, for which he received the M.H. Bregstein thesis prize 2018.
