Willem Jan van Andel has been with Wijn & Stael since 1990 and is an attorney and partner. Chambers and Partners, a legal ranking agency, describes him as ‘a well-known player in the insolvency field, and is noted for his high-quality work and client-friendly attitude’, placing him among the top three insolvency and restructuring attorneys in the Netherlands. Willem Jan counsels financial institutions, executive and supervisory directors, shareholders, accountants and creditor groups. He also brings inquiry proceedings before the Commercial Division and is regularly appointed as administrator and/or trustee in major moratorium and bankruptcy cases. Willem Jan serves as arbitrator via the Netherlands Arbitration Institute.
