Mr. M. Faber



Maaike Faber has been with Wijn & Stael Advocaten since 2015. She advises both employers and employees on issues of employment law, such as dismissal procedures, reorganisations, participation rights and mergers and acquisitions. Maaike also has experience in employer’s liability and the appointment and dismissal of directors under the articles of association.

Before Maaike joined Wijn & Stael, she worked at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek for six years. She was also seconded for more than six months as a legal counsel to the main office of Shell. Thanks to this position, she has developed a good feeling for the business sector and is able to judge exactly what kind of legal advice it is that her clients need.

Maaike’s clients describe her as an energetic, committed and bold attorney, who does her utmost to defend her client’s interests. She prides herself on her legal accuracy and quickly gets to the core of the matter. If possible, Maaike will endeavour to reach a fair settlement for her client, but will not avoid confrontation if needed. Whatever the situation, Maaike always seeks to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

  • Labour law (Collective redundancies, International labour law, Co-determination, Pension law)

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
